We love open source, our products run on open source technologies, our servers use open source web server applications and programming languages... but trusting open source for all your needs can get you into trouble if you don't know what you are doing.

There are several great open source packages for e-commerce available on the net, we know because we have used them, supported them and ultimately abandoned them. Why? Simple. Security and expandability. Cularis was started because we had to help clients add features and fix problems with other e-commerce packages on the net. We had to chase bug reports, updates, patches and more - read blogs, email developers and scour available forums to find answers to seemingly simple problems. If you have the time to do all that, we welcome your use of an open source solution - but many people want as much time to run their business as possible.
